A Day With Mom at SCBC

The kids didn't have school on Friday so Olivia got to spend the day with me at the State College of Beauty Culture. We are having a fashion show next week and Olivia is my model. The theme of the fashion show is Avant Garde, which basically means anything goes, the crazier the better. My friend Autumn and I are making our kids punk rockers!

A lovely before shot

Sitting under the dryer to develop her "highlights"

This is Olivia masking during her facial... oh yes, my 7 year old got her hair colored, and cut, a manicure, pedicure, and facial! I hope I'm not creating a monster!

Last but not least our results. Remember punk rocker, I'll post photos of the show. And don't worry, it's not permanent !

Sick of getting Sick

It has happened again. The wrath of some terrible virus, a really devilish cold, has attacked the Majernik's! Todd brought it home, Grandma caught it, I got it Sunday and Olivia came home today with an ear infection. (this is Liv at the walk in clinic the last time she was sick, she had strep so they made her wear a mask, pretty cute huh?) Hopefully the warm sun will come and disinfect everything!

Starting a Blog

So after careful thought and consideration I've decided to start a blog. You may like it, you may not, you may decide to start your own (it's sorta fun!). My computer savvy sis-in-law started one this fall and I've been wanting one ever since. The website that I was posting pictures on was taking too much time to upload my images and I think this way will be nice to be able to chit chat a little too! Let me know what you think! Love Ya

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy!

Well I thought I'd start things off right by showing off Olivia's fishing skills. The weather has finally broken here (kinda) and we headed out Sunday morning for Fleet Farm. (For those who don't know this, as you travel North,"Farm 'N' Fleet" becomes Fleet Farm.) Anyway, we went there for a light bulb for the van, we walked out with a new pole, tackle box, and lures for Livy... not to mention various items for Todd. Then a trip to Gander Mountain for minnows and then out to storage to get the bikes.

Eventually we make it to the river and I guess Liv got all the equipment she needed, a couple casts in and Olivia lands herself a 20" Small Mouth Bass!!!

We can't leave out the littlest fisher girl, Amelia thinks minnows are great! (that's what's in her hand)
